Candace M. TenBrink Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Management in the Marilyn Davies College of Business at the University of Houston – Downtown. Her publications focus on turnarounds, life cycle, and strategic change. She was recently awarded a Fulbright Scholar that will begin in 2020 at the University of Gdansk in Poland. Her Fulbright research will focus on turnarounds and strategic change in technology firms. She teaches strategy and leadership to undergraduates and graduates using a blend of experiential learning, strategy consulting, and case studies. She enjoys advising technology-based entrepreneurs on strategy related issues. Prior to entering academia, she was the founder and managing partner of a film production firm in NY, a top ranked equity analyst in the semiconductor capital equipment industry for a global investment bank, and held several positions in the largest semiconductor capital equipment firm in Silicon Valley. Dr. TenBrink received a PhD from the Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston. She received an MBA from the Ross School of Business and a B.A. from Michigan State University. She is currently studying computer programming at the University of Michigan.
